Annual Conservation Workshop & Local Work Group Meeting
We invite you to join us for a Conservation Workshop and Local Work Group Meeting, hosted by the Hill Country Soil & Water Conservation District, the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Texas A&M AgriLife Research and the Lampasas River Watershed Partnership.
March 21, 2024; 9:00 - noon
Lampasas County Farm Bureau
1793 US-281, Lampasas, TX 76550
Doors open at 8:30 pm for sign in
Topics include grazing management after drought for local farms and ranches, urban conservation and setting priorities for natural resource funding in Lampasas and Burnet Counties for the next fiscal year. Participants will be asked to provide input to determine natural resource priorities and criteria for NRCS conservation and programs planning for the upcoming fiscal year as part of the annual Local Work Group. Through this process, local agriculture stakeholders can help shape plans and priorities for future projects, identify where the best investments can be made to address natural resource issues and review the work that has already be done in Lampasas and Burnet counties.
Two general Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education credits (CEUs) for non-commercial pesticide applicator license holders will be offered, the cost of which is sponsored by the Hill Country SWCD. Light refreshments will be served.
